Founded in 1999. Perfect Sky emerged from the ashes of Vienna-style hardcore band Proud of Ignorance. Perfect Sky’s initial lineup recorded some demo songs before splitting up in 2003. Those demo songs eventually saw the release later in 2021, after the reformation of Perfect Sky in 2018 with a new lineup. Titled Cornerstones, this compilation of long-lost demos was jointly released via WTF Records and Dedication Records.
With their revitalized lineup came a new sonic direction, blending hardcore and metal elements, characterized by aggressive vocals, relentless beats, and neck-breaking riffs. With recent releases like the debut album, Rise From the Dead, in December 2020 and a split album, Songs of Faith and Demolition, in October 2022, Perfect Sky remains an active force in the Austrian hardcore scene.
Perfect Sky’s upcoming EP, Hunting Demons, features five new tracks set to ignite the pulses of hardcore enthusiasts. Additionally, the EP includes a re-recorded version of “Angry Youth” from their debut album and a cover of “Crucified,” a bona fide HC/Punk classic by Iron Cross, as a bonus track.
